SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Leaving Rabil, we will stop at the pottery factory where we produce very Boavista handmade ceramic souvenirs. From there we cross the Viana Desert. This 'desert' began to form in the 1980s and in recent years the golden dunes, which look like a power station, have continued to grow thanks to the constant trade winds that bring sand from the Sahara and Mauritania. From Viana we continue to Bofareira, a small, sleepy village on the north side of the island, and drive around the desert to reach a small stone gorge, surrounded by palm trees and acacias, carved out by the rare but torrential rains to reach Cabo S. Maria and the wreck. From here we reach Sal Rei for a short stop and then return to Rabil along the Pitoresc (old cobbled road).
